In the early 1990s, several civil wars took place in the Gagauzia and Transdniestr regions. The war happened as a result of quarrels between the ethics in the two regions. After the civil war ended, the Gaugauz was slowly restored into the original condition. The Transdniestr did not restore as fast as Gaugauz.
